What accommodation do you have at Wooda?
We have 55 luxury holiday homes, two holiday cottages for hire, and 220 touring and camping pitches
Are you open all year?
In 2010, we open on the 27th March and close on the 31st October.
Are your cottages available for winter let?
Yes, they are available for let all year round. Please see the cottages page or contact us for more details.
How far are you from the town centre and beaches and can we walk there?
We are approximately 1½ miles from Bude town and its beaches. You are able to walk through the village of Poughill ? it takes approximately 30 minutes. The parking is adequate in Bude and there is a bus services that runs frequently from the entrance of the park.
How do I book a pitch, caravan or cottage with you?
You are able to either book online, over the telephone, or by completing a booking form either posting or faxing it to us. Please see the bookings page for more information.
Is my deposit refundable?
Your deposit is non-refundable. We require £70 per week when booking our accommodation and £50 per week when booking a pitch, of which we require at the time of booking. If you are staying in our accommodation, have taken out the cancellation policy and your reason for cancellation complies with the situations covered, we will refund your deposit.
Is there a cancellation policy for touring and camping?
We don?t have a cancellation policy for touring and camping pitches as we don?t ask for the balance of your holiday to be paid in advance. Due to this, we do not refund any deposits in the event of a cancellation.
If I need to make changes to my booking, am I able to do so?
You are able to make changes to your booking. Changes will incur a small amendment fee. If you reduce the duration of your stay in the height of the season and the pitch or caravan is unable to be re-let, you might be eligible for paying the full balance
If I leave early, am I eligible for a refund?
Unfortunately we don?t give refunds if you have to depart early. If you know you need to depart earlier than your current departure date before arriving, we strongly recommend you let us know. If your stay is shortened upon arrival or during your stay, you will be required to pay for the length of stay that you originally booked.
If I cancel my booking or leave early due to the weather, am I able to get a refund?
Unfortunately we do not issue refunds. The weather is beyond our control and we will not issue any refund for cancellations due to the weather conditions. The only circumstance in which a refund might be issued is if we have to cancel your booking due to the conditions of the park not being suitable.
Do you accept dogs at Wooda?
We welcome dogs on the touring and camping park but not in our accommodation. There is a small charge (see tariff) and we ask them to be kept on a lead at all times, cleaned up after and exercised in the designated areas. There is a restriction on certain breeds ? please refer to the booking conditions for more information. Max 3 dogs per pitch.
Do you accept groups?
Unfortunately we don?t accept groups of all males, all females or young people as we are a quiet family park. If you are a group (for example ? sports groups etc) wishing to stay, please either call us on

When is the Courtyard Bar and Lodge Takeaway open?
Our Courtyard Bar is open from Whitsun Week (29th May) until mid September; however opening periods may be restricted out of the main season. Our Lodge Takeaway is open from April ? October, but again the opening hours may be restricted during low season.
When do your activities take place?
Clay Pigeon Shooting, archery and tractor and trailer rides take place in the main seasons. Low season, they are restricted according to demand.
Fishing, golf, tennis and badminton are available for use from April ? October.
How much are the activities?
Fishing - £2.00 for a half day and £3.00 for a full day permit, per rod.
Golf - £1.50 per person ? no use of own clubs on the course.
Tennis and Badminton - £5 per hour for court hire and a £10 deposit for equipment. Please feel free to bring your own equipment.
Clay Pigeon Shooting - £10 per person
Archery - £6 per person
Tractor and Trailer Rides ? Free of charge
Can I pre-book the activities before I arrive?
You are able to phone but we do recommend that you wait until you arrive to book the activities. It is recommended that you do this at the start of your holiday to avoid disappointment.
Can we use barbeques?
Yes, barbeques are permitted. All we ask is that they are raised from the ground so that they do not burn the grass. You are able to obtain bricks for disposable barbeques from the shop.
Do you have recycling facilities on-site?
We have facilities on-site to recycle glass and cans, plastic and newspaper. We are a David Bellamy Gold Award site so recycling is encouraged at all times. Please see the park plan to see where the recycling points are situated.
Do you have a noise policy?
We require all our guests to be respectful to others and to be quiet between 10.30pm and 8am. Radios and TV?s must be kept on a low volume at all times. Any guests not adhering to this rule, may, at our discretion, be asked to leave the park. Generators are not permitted.
Are guests allowed to visit?
We have no hesitation on guests visiting whilst you are staying with us. We ask for additional cars to be parked in the car park, and any guests staying overnight to be checked in at reception. All visitors must adhere to our park rules.
Am I able to leave my children unaccompanied onsite?
Children must not be left unattended onsite at any time. Parents are responsible for the behaviour of their children at all times. Anyone not adhering to these conditions may be asked to leave.
Do you allow bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades or micro scooters?
Skateboards, rollerblades and micro scooters are not permitted on the park. Bicycles are allowed but the park speed is 5mph and must be observed at all times. In the interest of your safety, we ask you not to ride bicycles around the reception and shop areas as the traffic is busy.
Are we able to play ball games?
Ball games including Frisbee are not permitted in the vicinity of your accommodation. There is an area for ball games in the children?s play area.
Do you provide equipment for fishing?
We don?t provide any equipment for fishing. If you would like to fish whilst you are on holiday, you will need to bring your own equipment.
Do I need a license to fish?
You need a National Rod License which can be purchased at any post office. You will also need to obtain a permit from reception before using the lake.
Are there any restrictions on the fishing lake?
We only allow you to use barbless hooks and do not permit the use of keep nets. We don?t allow excessive use of ground bait.
What is the fishing lake stocked with?
The lake is stocked with Tench, Common Carp, Mirror Carp and Golden Orf.
Can I have a tent pitch or caravan situated close to the lake?
Unfortunately the lake is situated in the valley so it is a slight walk down the farm lane from your accommodation. Access to the lake is via the woodland walk but we do have alternative access for those less able. Please see the park plan for more details on its location.
Can I get internet access?
We have both Wi-Fi and mains internet access at Wooda. A small fee is charged for both facilities.
Do you have a laundry on-site?
We have two launderettes on-site, each one with two washing machines, two tumble driers and two ironing boards. They are both coin operated. Each wash costs £3 and one 50p will allow 10 minutes in the driers. Irons take 20p coins. Washing powder tablets are able to be purchased from our on-site shop. Change for the launderette is able to be obtained from reception.
