Latest update 12th May 2020...
After the latest Government announcement, we are looking forward to hopefully reopening on 4th July 2020.
If you have a booking before this date, we will be in touch with your options via email or telephone over the next few days. Please bear with us whilst we work through contacting our customers.
You are able to book online to arrive after 4th July. We hope, all being well, that we can welcome you to Wooda this summer and we are working hard at putting measures in place surrounding social distancing and protection for our staff and customers. We will update you as soon as we can!
We realise that some of our customers might still not feel happy holidaying given the current situation, and we absolutely understand. We are still offering the option of deferring your holiday to a later date or to 2021. Please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org if that's something you would like to do.

Are you definitely going to be opening on 4th July 2020?
We are still unsure - there is no guarantee that we will be allowed to open. This is dependent on the R rate of infection and the Government allowing us to open. We have put the date of the 4th July in place following the latest Government guidance.
I had a booking to arrive before the 4th July, what should I do?
You should have received an email or telephone call from us cancelling your reservation. You can either 'press pause' and opt to have a credit of monies paid to be used against a future booking before the end of the 2021 season, or if this doesn't suit, you can 'say goodbye' and opt for a refund. Please email your requests to email@example.com.
I've sent you an email in response to your cancellation email and I still haven't received a reply.
Please bear with us. We are receiving an extremely high volume of emails currently and are operating on a reduced level of staff working from home. We are working really hard to get through all our emails and we promise we will come back to you as soon as we can.
Is it easier to call you?
Our reservations team are working from home, so if you can't get through on the phone, please leave a message or send an email and we will work hard to reply to you as soon as possible.
Can I book to arrive after the 4th July?
We are still accepting new bookings from 4th July onwards for now; however there is still no guarantee that holidays booked after this date will be possible, there is still so much uncertainty surrounding the pandemic. We will be monitoring the situation continuously and will of course be in touch nearer the time if your booking will be affected.
The park will be operating strict social distancing rules, meaning we wont be taking as many customers as normal. We anticipate that the park will be operating potentially on an accommodation only basis; we don't know if our facilities including toilet and shower blocks will be allowed to open, or what the park will look like with regards to social distancing. We will update you as soon as we receive industry guidance surrounding this.
Will your facilities be open?
We really hope so but we still don't know which facilities will and wont be open, if any. We will update you as soon as we know more. Any facilities that are able to open will of course be operating on a social distancing basis.
If I book and pay a deposit for 2020 and my booking is cancelled or I don't want to come given the COVID19 situation, what happens?
If the Government force closure of our park, or we have to cancel your booking, then you will be entitled to a refund. If you decide you feel unsafe travelling or feel you have changed your mind nearer the time, you are welcome to transfer your deposit to a future booking before the end of the 2021 season, however if the park is open and you could visit, you won't be entitled to a refund. We greatly value your custom. Each customer is extremely important to us and we realise this is an unprecedented situation, so we will try and be as flexible as we can.
Will my balance still be due 42 days in advance?
No, all balances due for 2020 bookings will be due 14 days in advance. We will send you a balance reminder via email.
If I already have a booking for 2020, the park is open but I don't feel I will get the full 'Wooda' experience as your facilities might be closed, what happens?
We realise that holidays are such an important part of people's lives, therefore we will do our best to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible. However, we really don't know what might be for this summer but open thing we do know, is you'll still be able to enjoy the sea, beach, coastal walks and the freedom of being on the Cornish coast - for those who we were worried, pasty shops are still open! If you feel you would like to transfer your booking to 2021, you are more than welcome to do so. Please email your requests to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
I had a booking to commence before the 4th July 2020 and I left my monies in credit. How do I rebook?
You can email us on email@example.com, or book online. If you choose to book online, select your accommodation option and make sure you re-book using exactly the same details as you made your original booking with and your credit will be deducted once we receive the reservation.
There has been so much on social media surrounding people travelling to Cornwall. Will I feel welcomed when I visit?
ABSOLUTELY - we will be waiting with open arms and so will the locals!!! We realise that there has been lots of messages on Facebook and other social media channels with regards to holiday makers visiting Cornwall. We hope that people are adhering to the current lock down rules, as this is what it currently surrounds; people travelling when they shouldn't. Protecting our local community is extremely important to us, especially as a family who have lived here for many years, and we will make sure that we act with caution in our decisions to protect the safety of our community. However, you, as our customers are also very important part of Bude and Cornwall, so you should have no reason not to feel welcomed. You are supporting our independent, family run businesses which are part of what Bude is, and whilst these are all still currently closed, we're sure they will be happy to see you this summer, when of course it is safe to do so.
A final message....
In a nutshell, there is still so much uncertainty surrounding the COVID19 pandemic. We are still so unsure as what the next few weeks will bring, but we are acting on the Government guidance given at this time, and waiting on additional guidance to be provided by our industry organisations. We will continue to monitor the situation continuously and will update you as much as possible. The safety of our guests and staff is absolutely paramount so we will only choose to open the park and facilities where we feel it safe to do so.
Our customers are so important to us. We hugely value each and every one of you, and are so looking forward to welcoming you safely as soon as we can. We will work to try and provide the best holiday experience as is possible given the current situation. We know some of you are desperate to get away, and others already booked might want to act with caution; however you might feel, we will be here waiting for you with open arms whenever you feel ready, and when it is safe to do so. Why is Wooda Closed?
The UK is currently in 'lockdown' and we are unsure at present when this might be lifted.
When will Wooda re-open?
At this moment in time, we are unsure when Wooda will re-open, we are hoping to be open from the 4th July 2020 but we will continue to follow Government guidelines. We will not re-open our holiday park until it is safe to do so.
I have a booking with you, what will happen if the park is closed?
We will contact you to rearrange an alternative date for later in 2020 or for the 2021 season. If you are unable to rebook at this time, we will hold your monies paid on your account to be used against a future booking before the end of the 2021 season.

Should I pay my holiday balance if it is due?
If your holiday balance is due for payment, we advise that this remains unpaid. You will not loose your reservation even though our terms and conditions state balance payments must be made 42 days in advance. We will be in touch with you once the park re-opens.

Can I still make a new booking for 2020?
We are unsure how this situation will continue, but we haven't yet stopped taking bookings for 2020. Please be aware though that if you make a booking and it is unable to go ahead for reasons surrounding the COVID19 pandemic, your deposit will remain non-refundable as per our terms and conditions. You would be welcome to transfer this to a future booking to be taken before the end of the 2021 season, or hold it as a credit on your account, but it won't be refunded.
Life at Wooda…
We hope you are all keeping safe and well and looking after loved ones. Trevor, Graeme and the Colwill family here at Wooda are continuing to maintain the grounds of the holiday park ready to welcome you back when it is safe to do so. Charlotte Stacey, our office manager, is on hand to answer your calls and emails from home. We are operating reduced working hours so please bear with us - we will respond to your calls and messages as soon as we can.
We sincerely thank you for your continued understanding, and feel so lucky to have such wonderful, loyal customers. We miss you all immensely - its heart-breaking to see Wooda empty, especially when the sun is shining! But rest assured, we will be ready to welcome you back with open arms when it is safe to do so.

We are eagerly awaiting the news from the Prime Minister this weekend about how the UK might exit lockdown. We still don’t know when our holiday park might reopen, but we know that when it does reopen, that there will have to be strict social distancing measures in place. Because of this, we have currently stopped taking bookings for our holiday caravans and touring and camping until 1st September 2020. Our lodges and cottages are available to book from 1st July onwards.
If you have a booking with us for the coming weeks, we still advise that the balance payment remains unpaid. Once we know more with regards to the UK exiting the lockdown and when tourism businesses might be able to reopen, we will be in touch.

We hope this message finds you all well and keeping safe amid these difficult times.
As we are all well aware, the lockdown of the UK has been extended for a further 3 weeks as of yesterday, 16th April 2020. This obviously means Wooda remains closed, and at present, we are still unsure as to when the holiday park will reopen. We have no expected date of opening; we are following guidance given by the Government in the same way the general public are too.
If you had a booking for May, you will have received an email from us offering a change of dates to later this year, or for 2021. This is an option for all holiday bookings due to commence in the coming months, however we are emailing guests on a monthly basis depending on the guidance the Government give. The emails will have now been sent to all customers due to holiday with us up to the end of May. Please email your booking change requests to email@example.com.
If you have a balance payment due for a booking in the next few weeks, we advise that this remains unpaid. This will not affect your terms of booking. When the holiday park does re-open, our normal terms of booking will apply. We will be in touch with you as and when this happens.
