Step back in time and let the legends of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table transport you as you explore the dramatic ruins of Tintagel Castle. Cross the new footbridge to the island, soak in breathtaking coastal views, and imagine the tales of old. During half-term, special events like medieval re-enactments and captivating storytelling sessions often bring the castle’s history to life.
Visitors to the Eden Project this half term can enjoy the Festival of Imagination from May 25 to June 2. The event features immersive theatre, collaborative art, augmented reality storytelling, and more. Highlights include the Blockbuster Factory, an award-winning interactive show, and Anansi and the Lost Sun, a show that explores puppetry. One Drum offers African drumming, dancing, and acrobatics with workshops, while Looking for the Cloud, an augmented reality experience by Bath Spa University, delves into the internet and energy use. In the Game Lounge, visitors can explore game design with Mind Feast Games. The Mossy Carpet is a collaborative art project about moss and community. And the popular Book Nook returns with books and daily storytelling by various authors. Additionally, there will be an exhibition by artist Cornelia Parker and outdoor movie nights from May 25 to 27 by Adventure Cinema. Not one to miss!

It’s an excellent opportunity to find the perfect piece of art to take home as a cherished souvenir.
Cornwall Open Studios is more than just an art event; it’s a celebration of creativity and community. With over 200 artists participating, the event spans multiple locations across Cornwall, offering a diverse range of artworks, including painting, sculpture, pottery, jewellery, and textiles. As you tour the studios, you’ll have the chance to meet the artists, learn about their inspiration, and even watch live demonstrations.
