Activities At Wooda
Here at Wooda, the opportunities for having fun, relaxing or simply enjoying quality time together are endless - even with restrictions. Start your day with a walk through the woods to the fishing lake or check-in for breakfast with the farm animals - just make sure you bring your own breakfast - unless you like grain! New for 2020 are the Segway experiences! See below for more information.
Some of the activities are not currently open but don't let this stop you filling your holiday with fun experiences and making memories that last a lifetime.

Woodland Walk & Nature Trail
OPEN – Explore the shaded woodland, spotting wildlife and Wooda pixies along the way! The wood is a great place for birdwatchers and for children to run free enjoying the outdoors. The woodland walk is mainly flat so pushchairs can be taken. Make sure you little ones pick up a Nature Passport from reception and join the Wooda Nature Team.
Woodland Cycle Trail
OPEN – Explore 2 miles of off road terrain around the Wooda site by two feet or two wheels! Walk or cycle to Tiscott Woods passing wildflower hedgerows, bluebell lined paths and immerse yourself in the tranquility of the woodland.
Our woodland cycle trail is fun for mountain bike enthusiasts! Cycle amongst the trees and practise your off-road skills taking to the air over some challenging jumps.
This trail is stunning throughout all seasons and makes for a perfect family walk or adrenaline fuelled adventure.
Games and Television Room
CLOSED – Our Games and Television Room has two pool tables, a table tennis table and television. It’s open from 10am – 11pm daily.
Toddler Soft Play
CLOSED – Younger children will love our toddler play room, an area designated for under 5’s with a Wendy House, slide, selection of ride on toys, bean bags, books and much more! We also have a soft play area in the toddler room creating a safe environment for little ones to enjoy whatever the weather!
Come along to the Farm Yard and meet our friendly pygmy goats, chickens and tame lambs. They love to say hi to all our visitors!
CURRENTLY CLOSED – Throughout the summer months, our tractors are not quite so busy so every Monday afternoon, we invite guests to hop aboard the trailer and go on a tour of the rolling countryside that surrounds Wooda. Spot the sheep grazing in the field, take in the sea view and see the park from much higher up.
This is free and always a great favourite with younger children! Tractor & Trailer rides run once a week on a Monday afternoon and may be limited according to demand in low and mid-season. Please see the board at reception for pick up points and times.
OPEN – Preparing for Wimbledon or just having some fun – test your skills on our beautiful tennis court! Unfortunately, we are unable to hire equipment so please bring your own. The court is free and open daily.
Sports Barn & Badminton Court
CLOSED – Try your hand at badminton – fun for all the family! £5 per hour and equipment available for a £10 deposit. The badminton court is available for hire from 8am – 9pm daily. Please book at reception.
Please note that the badminton court will be unavailable between 13th – 20th July 2020.
CLOSED – Keep your fitness levels up whilst on holiday using our onsite gym. Located in the Sports Barn, it offers a variety of cardiovascular and resistance equipment. You must be over 16 years old to use this facility. Open between 8am – 9pm at £3 per hour. Earlier times are available if required – please ask at reception if you would like to use the facilities outside of normal opening hours.
CLOSED – Become a real-life Robin Hood and have a go at shooting targets! This is fun for all and requires a steady hand, a good aim and lots of concentration. Find out who is the natural hunter between your friends and family. Full tuition is provided by our team of archery coaches. £8 per person, Archery takes place twice a week on a Monday and Wednesday evening and may be limited according to demand in low and mid-season. Over 8’s only.
Pitch 'n' Putt
CLOSED – (unless you have your own clubs). Take on the challenge of a hole in one on our 9 hole, par 27 course set over three acres of stunning countryside. Clubs are available from reception. Use of your own clubs is not permitted. £2 per person per round. Available from 8am – 8pm daily.
OPEN – Our pond is stocked with Mirror and Common Carp, Golden Orfe and Tench. Sizes range from 1lb to 15 – 16lbs – give it a go and see what you can catch! The use of excessive ground bait, keep nets and barbed hooks are not permitted. You must provide your own equipment and have an NRA licence also. It is £2 for a half day fish and £3 for a full day. You are welcome to fish from dawn to dusk. Prices are per rod.
Segway Experience - New for 2020!
OPEN – Fancy trying something new? Why not try a Segway experience! New for 2020, Segway Bude is based here at Wooda and offers two different experiences – test your skills or try the off road track! A fun activity for all the family.

We are proud to be working alongside a small local activity company, Atlantic Pursuits, who will offer you a personal and unique experience for all your outdoor activity fun! Sam and his team are trained and experienced in these activities and will ensure a great time is had by all!
