Things We Love This February Half Term
We have been basking in sunshine filled days for the last week and we are pleased to say the sunshine looks set to stay throughout half term week – yay! I Spend your time strolling sun soaked beaches, chasing waterfalls, enjoying the thrill of rollercoasters and walking on the wild side at Newquay Zoo. Here’s three attractions you must add to your ‘to visit list’ this half term.
SAINT NECTAN’S GLEN

This must be Cornwall’s best-kept secret. You will enter a different world of deep tranquillity as you make your way along the edge of the river which meanders, sometimes rushing, over moss-covered rocks and pebbles under the most amazing canopy of ancient woodland.
As you progress along paths and slate beds worn into steps over hundreds of years, you will be able to hear the distant murmur of the waterfall. Lose yourself in the amazing beauty, as you walk along the valley, over paths amongst undergrowth.Â
With three waterfalls and an abundance of woodland, explore all there is to see then head to the cafe for a well earned Cornish cream tea – jam first then cream!
THE BIG SHEEP, ABOTSHAM, NORTH DEVON
Join in the fun for February Half Term at The BIG Sheep and meet the first lambs of the season. You might even be lucky enough to see one being born! The BIG Sheep is an award winning family attraction in Bideford, North Devon where you’ll be entertained by Devon’s friendliest ‘flock’ and enjoy a fun-filled family day out. Ride on the rampage rollercoaster, spin to your hearts content on the twister swing ride then jump on board the train at Eweston Station.
There’s plenty to see and do for all ages and you’ll even experience the entertaining live shows throughout the week all for an ultra low price especially for February half term! Of course non of this would be complete without a visit to the nursery barn and pets corner.
Newquay Zoo

Release your inner animal and let the kids run wild at Newquay Zoo. Home to over 130 species, an adventure play area and hand on exhibits, this is fun for all the family. Watch lions devour their lunch and penguins dive for fish, submerge yourself in the tropical house where you will find a sleeping sloth and some creepy crawlies. After a morning of exploring, refuel at Cafe Lemur and as you tuck into your lunch, make sure you gaze out the window where you will see black and white and ring-tailed lemurs swing through the trees, it really is a lunch with a difference. This is a great choice come rain or shine!
Whatever your plans this February half-term, we wish you a fun filled week!
