Enjoy carnivals, live music and more this August in Bude. August is one of the warmest months of the year in Cornwall so to make the most of the warm summer days, most events listed below will be held outdoors.

Revel In The Revel – Poughill Revel is BACK for 2022!

THURSDAY 4TH AUGUST FROM 2PM

Bude’s favourite village fair is back with a bang. Unable to go ahead for the last two years, we are delighted to see the return of this little get-together in the village of Poughill – just a short ten minute walk from Wooda. Bring back nostalgic childhood memories with a coconut shy, children’s races, skittles. ice creams, a raffle, a barbecue and a tea tent. This is a wonderful opportunity to allow your children to delight in a special family afternoon out.

Dance In The Streets At Bude Carnival

THURSDAY 4TH AUGUST FROM 2PM

After a three year hiatus, Bude Carnival returns to Bude in August 2022. Join Bude’s biggest street party as the streets are filled with colours, music and dance. Watch elaborate floats and costumed performers wind their way through the streets in the carnival parade, dance to the sound of the music, and help support many local charities.

Dive In At Bude Lifeboat Weekend

SATURDAY 27TH – MONDAY 29TH AUGUST

Come along to find out the inner workings of Bude’s RNLI Lifeboat Station. Tour the station, look at the boats and support this incredible charity that keeps us safe when we’re enjoying time in or on the water.

Slip and Slide at Bude’s Newest Attraction – Monster Slip & Slide

DAILY THROUGHOUT AUGUST

New for 2022 and we couldn’t be more excited! This adrenaline fuelled activity can be enjoyed by all the family (if they’re brave enough). Based near Widemouth Bay, slide down the Monster ramp using their super fast body boards or inflatable rings. £12.50 per one hour session. You can book online here.
